Policies & Helpful info

  • I am based in Charleston, SC, and at this time I offer in-person and virtual, individual therapy for adults (18 and older) in South Carolina. I am currently accepting new clients and offer appointments Tuesday-Friday each week. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to anyone interested in my services. Individual therapy sessions are $115 for 50-60 minutes. I am not an in-network provider with any insurance companies at the moment. However, as an out-of-network provider, I have partnered with Mentaya to help my clients save money on therapy. Use the tool below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.

  • Payment is due at the end of each session. Once an appointment hour is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for it unless you provide 24-hours advance notice of cancellation with the exception of serious illness or emergencies.

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to provide patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance, a good faith estimate of expected charges and services. This law intends to protect you from receiving any "surprise" bills (hence the name "The No Surprise Act") or from receiving bills with a "surprise" higher cost than you expected.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
