Hi, I’m Logan (she/her/hers). I am a client-centered therapist who recognizes that every individual is unique. Therapy should meet you where you are, not fit you into a box. I can be a listening ear, help support you through difficult times, and introduce you to evidence-based strategies to help you overcome your struggles and flourish.

I have worked with a variety of people from all different backgrounds who struggle with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, traumatic memories, struggles managing emotions or tolerating distress, relationship difficulties, day to day stress, health issues, and more.

I strive to be inclusive of all backgrounds, LGBTQ+ affirming, body positive, and trauma-informed.

I would love to partner with you on your journey.

My Background

I completed my internship with a local college counseling center before graduating from The Citadel with my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling in 2018. After graduating, I worked at a local community mental health center, helping people dealing with struggles all the way from suicidal thoughts and self-harm behaviors, as well as psychosis, to people dealing with struggles in daily living from relationship struggles and health issues, and everything in between. I helped co-lead the Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups, and worked with people individually as they were learning the DBT skills and trying to practice them in their daily lives. I also attended many trainings along the way. After two years of working for the mental health center, I transitioned to working on a research study at the VA. I was trained in gold-standard treatments for Depression and Panic Disorder (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (Cognitive Processing Therapy), as well as a newer treatment my supervisor created called Transdiagnostic Behavior Therapy (TBT) which focuses on challenging avoidance through “exposures.” I was also trained in diagnostic assessments for a variety of mental health disorders. After providing assessments and treatment for two years, I decided to branch out on my own and started my private practice, Ebb & Flow Counseling. Along the way, I have gained training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, attended a workshop from Kristen Neff’s Mindful Self-Compassion Program, and got back to my roots of using DBT again.

My Philosophy

My philosophy about therapy has shifted over time, and I am always working to improve my skills, learn new things, and lean into the therapy experience further. Nobody makes it through this life without some sort of pain, scars, or challenge. Some of us have scars bigger than others - wounds from trauma that don’t seem to ever heal. Some of us feel stuck on autopilot, wondering when will life get easier, more fulfilling, or when will we be in a better space to deal with things. Some people have been disconnected from their own voice, their own body, their own values and freedom for their lives for a long time and have a hard time finding their way back. Every person has a unique experience in this life, and my job is to listen, provide a safe space, reflect, offer treatment “kernels” when needed, and show up in a way that makes you feel seen, heard, and valued as a person. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors for a successful therapy experience, and this is proven by research. I will always treat you like  a whole person, not a diagnosis, not the labels you have been given or that your mind has given you. Your empowerment and freedom from feeling stuck or other obstacles in your way are important to me, and I am honored to be able to do this hard work together.
